PearSign vs PandaDoc

Why teams choose PearSign over PandaDoc

PandaDoc is built around the sales document, and its editor for proposals and quotes is genuinely good — if your problem is assembling a priced proposal, that focus is a real advantage. PearSign is built around getting a document signed, sealed and auditable. The commercial difference is that PandaDoc bills per person and advertises its annual rate, while PearSign bills the account once.

Side by side

One table, top to bottom: the three differences that do the real work, then what each product costs for the same team, then every capability PandaDocpublishes set against ours. Read the qualifier under each mark rather than the mark alone — most of the difference is not whether something exists but which tier you must reach to use it. A hollow tick means it exists behind a higher plan or a paid add-on.

Where the two differ
What you pay for

One flat price for the organisation, with the team included.

  • $15 a month covers 3 team members, $39 covers 15, $129 covers 50
  • Headcount changes do not change the invoice within a tier
  • Signers never pay and never need an account

A per-seat subscription on every paid tier.

  • Starter is $19 per user per month; Business is $49 per user per month
  • Both figures are the annual-commitment rate
  • Cost rises with each person who needs to send
The advertised price

The price on the page is the monthly price.

  • $15 and $39 are what you pay month to month, with no commitment
  • Paying yearly costs ten months rather than twelve
  • No tier requires a call to find out the number

The headline figures are the annual rate; month to month costs more.

  • Starter is $19 billed annually, but $35 month to month
  • Business is $49 billed annually, but $65 month to month
  • Enterprise pricing is not published
The free tier

A permanent free plan with no per-document recipient limit.

  • 3 free envelopes total, no card
  • That is 3 envelopes total, with any number of recipients on each
  • AATL seal and certificate of completion included on the free plan

A free eSign plan, capped by year and by recipient.

  • Free eSign allows 60 documents a year
  • Each of those is limited to 2 recipients
  • Roughly five documents a month before a paid tier is required

Read it end to end and the shape is consistent. PandaDoc has the longer feature list, and the rows above say so plainly — there are capabilities there that PearSign does not have at all. What the table also shows is what each product charges to do the work most teams actually do: send documents, collect signatures, and let a few colleagues do the same. On that work PearSign is a flat $39 a month for fifteen people with a thousand documents included, and every competitor here multiplies by headcount before you send anything. That is the trade: a shorter feature list, at a fraction of the price, with no meter on what you send.

Rows come from PandaDoc’s own published plan comparison, read on 2026-08-25. Where PandaDoc does not publish something it is marked not published rather than “no” — an absent mention is not evidence of an absent feature. Scope is product capability as each vendor documents it; security certifications and compliance programmes are not compared here.

Straight answers

PearSign and PandaDoc

Is PandaDoc's free plan enough to avoid paying?

Free eSign allows 60 documents a year with 2 recipients each — about five a month. PearSign's free plan is 3 envelopes total with no recipient cap. Figures checked 2026-08-25.

Does PearSign build proposals and quotes?

PearSign drafts documents with AI and collects signatures on them, but it does not have PandaDoc's pricing tables, product catalogue or quote-building blocks. If your core need is assembling a priced proposal inside the tool, PandaDoc is built for that and PearSign is not.

What is PearSign built for that PandaDoc is not?

Getting a document signed, sealed and auditable at a flat price for the whole account. PandaDoc is built around producing the document — proposals, quotes, pricing tables — and prices per seat. PearSign includes bulk send and FusionForms for collecting one document from many people, and every completed document carries our AATL-backed certificate and tamper-evident audit trail on every plan including Free.
