E-signatures for real estate agents and brokers
Get listing agreements, purchase contracts and disclosures signed in minutes, not days. Send a document from your phone or desk, set the order people sign in, and get back a sealed PDF with a full audit trail, all without printing, scanning or driving across town.
Upload your agreement or start from a template. Add recipients and choose who needs to sign and who gets a copy.

What you can sign electronically
Most real estate paperwork can be signed electronically under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, and agents do it every day:
- Listing agreements and buyer representation agreements
- Purchase and sale contracts, counteroffers and addenda
- Seller disclosures and property condition reports
- Residential and commercial leases, renewals and move-in checklists
- Commission agreements, referral agreements and vendor contracts
What usually still needs a notary or wet ink
Documents that are notarized and recorded in public land records, such as deeds and many mortgage instruments, follow different rules. Some counties accept electronically notarized and e-recorded deeds through remote online notarization (RON); others still require wet ink. Lenders and title companies may have their own requirements. PearSign handles the documents that can be e-signed. It does not notarize or record documents.

How PearSign works for a real estate deal
- Upload or reuse a template. Save your listing agreement or purchase contract once as a template and reuse it for every client.
- Place fields automatically. PearSign suggests signature, initial and date fields, and you can adjust them in seconds.
- Set the signing order. For example, buyer first, then seller, then the listing agent. Each person gets their link only when it's their turn.
- Clients sign on any device. No account or app is needed to sign. Clients open the email and sign on their phone, tablet or computer.
- Get a sealed PDF and certificate. Every completed document includes an audit trail (who signed, when, from which email) and a certificate of completion, sealed with an AATL-backed certificate so any later change is detectable.

Real estate e-signature FAQ
Is an electronically signed purchase agreement legally binding?
In the U.S., yes, in most cases. The ESIGN Act and UETA give electronic signatures the same legal effect as handwritten ones for most contracts, including purchase and sale agreements. Confirm any state-specific or brokerage rules.
Can I e-sign a deed with PearSign?
PearSign does not notarize or record documents. Deeds usually need notarization and recording, so they need a separate notary or remote online notarization process and county acceptance.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Clients open their secure signing link on a phone, tablet or computer. No account or app is needed to sign.
Do my clients need a PearSign account?
No. Signers open a secure link from their email and sign on any device.
Can I control who signs first?
Yes. Set the signing order so each party signs in sequence, or let everyone sign at the same time.
What proof do I get that a document was signed?
A completed PDF with an audit trail and a certificate of completion showing each signer, timestamp and email.
