Envelope allowances are counted per year, not per month
DocuSign's Standard and Business Pro plans each include 100 envelopes per user per year. PearSign's $15 Starter plan includes 250 envelopes per month. If you send steadily rather than occasionally, that is the difference that decides the bill.
Per-user pricing versus a flat account price
DocuSign charges per user per month, so adding a colleague adds a subscription. PearSign charges one flat price per account with team members included — 3 on Starter, 15 on Professional, 50 on Business. A five-person team on DocuSign Standard is five seats; on PearSign it is one plan.

Is PearSign cheaper than DocuSign?
It depends on volume and team size, and the honest answer is that the structure differs more than the sticker price. DocuSign Standard is $30 per user per month and includes 100 envelopes per user per year. PearSign Starter is $15 a month flat, includes 250 envelopes a month and covers 3 team members. For a small team sending regularly the gap is large; for one person sending a handful of documents a year, DocuSign Personal at $11 a month may cost less than a paid PearSign plan — though PearSign's free tier covers 10 a month at no cost. Are PearSign signatures as legally binding as DocuSign's?
Signatures collected through PearSign are intended to be legally binding under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, the same statutes that govern electronic signatures generally. PearSign documents carry an AATL-backed certificate and a tamper-evident audit trail, so a signed PDF verifies in Adobe Acrobat without a warning.
Can I move existing templates from DocuSign?
There is no automated import from DocuSign. Templates are rebuilt in PearSign, which for most teams means uploading the same source documents and placing fields once. PearSign's AI field placement does most of that work on upload.
